By The AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has recently announced an exciting collaboration with the Ministry of Transport to provide a complimentary Doha Metro Day pass to ticket holders on match days. This initiative aims to enhance the overall experience for supporters attending the tournament and encourage the use of sustainable transportation options.
To avail of this offer, supporters must be traveling on the specific match day indicated on their ticket. Match tickets will be scanned at Doha Metro stations to verify eligibility. Supporters traveling on the designated match days will receive a free day pass, allowing them unlimited access to the Doha Metro network for the duration of that day.
The stadiums that can be directly accessed by the Doha Metro include Al Bayt, Al Janoub, Al Thumama, Abdullah bin Khalifa, and Education City. These stadiums have been strategically chosen to be conveniently located near metro stations, making it incredibly convenient for supporters to reach their desired match venue.
For supporters attending matches at Al Bayt, Al Janoub, Al Thumama, and Abdullah bin Khalifa stadiums, free shuttle services will be available from Lusail, Al Wakra, Free Zone, and Qatar University stations respectively. This ensures that all supporters have access to reliable transportation options, regardless of their location within the city.
It is important to note that the entire journey, including both the Doha Metro and the shuttle services, has been designed to be wheelchair accessible.
